You're reading that clause wrong. You'll never convince me that a 11-1 or
possibly even a 10-2 Independent BYU team that played a great schedule, wouldn't get that spot

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
