The problem with this argument is that you're trying to blame independence for
that. When in actuality the problem is coaching, key injuries and guys not living up to their potential (Heaps, Mangum) Independence has nothing to do with it. Staying in the MWC wouldn't have done a thing to solve those issues.

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
