I usually give 2-4 weeks notice…
That being said I tend to have more sympathy for the employee than I do the employer. My dad was a network engineer for Utah Power and Light for over 40 years. Got new management that didn’t like him him and they gave him a bad review first chance they got and fired him the next day. So the idea that employees should have any type of loyalty to their employers is asinine. Especially when most employers would can you and replace you with cheaper labor or automation in a heart beat if they could.
