I gave a two weeks notice once too…..
They were so offended that I would leave that they called me in at the end of my shift and told me I really didn’t need to give a 2 weeks notice. I told them that I needed that last 2 weeks of pay because it was right before Christmas. They said okay but then had a supervisor tell me it was my last day as I was ready to leave. Made me regret telling them anything at all …. So it can go both ways I guess
